48h in oslo

Told to be fearless in the pursuit of my very own happiness, I left Belgium last month and discovered the goodness of being 48h in Oslo: the queen of Nordic cool.

Both an old and new capital, Oslo is a city in motion. Whether it is by the summer daylight or winter darkness, you will be embrased by the vibrant atmosphere and the cutting edge architecture. It is clean and colourful and filled with green spaces and excellent coffee bars. I've been strolling around the city for hours and hours. Walking the National Opera roof by night, admiring the National Gallery, the Museum of Natural History and knowing that both Edvard Münch as Henrik Ibsen have called it their home, made me absorb the gentle pace of time. I easily got lost on the quiet streets lined with beautiful houses.

I've felt very welcome at Federica's superbe b&b Choose Happiness (what's in a name) and of course I loved the many interior design shops everywhere around. The many charms and wonders of the city and its unique identity have touched my traveler soul!
